1972 Lotus Elan Sprint
Coupe
This Elan has been off the road and in dry storage for many years, it’s a genuine factory Sprint, it’s only had 2 owners and covered 40,000 miles.
To find original unrestored cars like this is becoming harder and harder.
As you can see in the pictures, the paintwork is faded and age worn. The car has had minor paintwork in its past but the majority of the bodywork is original factory paint.
Factory matching number engine, engine turns over easily and with some recommissioning will up and running.
Chassis is in great condition, it was upgraded to a spyder chassis in the mid 1980’s which is still in excellent shape.
Interior is all original, again it will benefit from a good clean and light refresh but all the scarce features are still in place. Colin Chapman steering wheel, Philips turn lock radio.
The car has been in storage many years and does need some mechanical recommissioning.
It would be great to run and use as is or would be an easy car to repaint and turn into something special.
There can’t be many genuine unrestored Sprints still out there.
